EVERYONE SEEN. EVERYONE HEARD.
It takes a village — it takes all of us.
As a local business owner and community advocate, Jonathan is running for West Hollywood City Council because he believes in a government that listens, acts with compassion, and works for all people.
PUBLIC SAFETY & QUALITY OF LIFE
Let's take public safety seriously, and do it with care. Support the people and partners who keep our neighborhoods safe, focus on what actually works, and keep our streets feeling like home.

No compromises on safety.
AFFORDABILITY & STAYING IN WEHO
We're in an affordability crisis. We can do something about it, day by day, so the renters who are the heart of this city can thrive and the homeowners who built it stay.
Relentless progress, day by day.
SMALL BUSINESS & COMMUNITY VITALITY
Back the independent businesses that make our streets feel alive, and turn empty storefronts and idle spaces into community assets.
Fewer empty rooms, more open doors.
FREE, JOYFUL, ACCESSIBLE PUBLIC SPACES
Make the cost of belonging zero: more free, welcoming places to gather, especially for longtime and older residents.
The cost of belonging should be zero.
LISTENING IS THE JOB
Decisions made with you, not for you. Holding Village Conversations throughout my campaign, and creating standing ways to be heard once I'm in office.
Decisions made with you, not for you.

MEET JONATHAN
Jonathan Cottrell is a West Hollywood neighbor running for City Council. He moved to West Hollywood for love and found his forever home. Jonathan serves on the city's Public Facilities, Recreation & Infrastructure Commission and is a founding member of the WeHo Business Task Force. He and his husband rolled up their sleeves and reimagined GYM Bar WeHo into a beloved community gathering place. He's running because the problems worth solving are right here, in our village: clean and safe streets, small businesses and workers thriving, neighborhoods people can still afford. Jonathan knows what it's like to want to be somewhere and wonder whether you can afford to stay — and he believes that, together, we can fix that.
WHY I'M RUNNING
"I believe City Hall works best when it listens first — when every resident has a real voice in the decisions that shape our community, and leads with purpose. Together, we can build a West Hollywood that's more connected, more inclusive, and prepared for whatever comes next."

VILLAGE
CONVERSATIONS
This campaign runs the way I'd govern: by listening first. Come find me — go for a run with me, stretch in the park after, or drop by while I'm working at GYM Bar WeHo. I'll also sit down with our longtime residents and older neighbors, where they are. Tell me what you need, and I'll carry it forward.

INVITE ME IN
The most useful thing you can do for this campaign is get me in a room with people who already gather. If you help run a group, I'd be honored to come listen — no script, no slideshow, just me and our neighbors.
-
Invite me to your next Neighborhood Watch.
-
Bring me to your HOA or building association meeting.
-
Put me on the agenda at your residents' or neighborhood association.
-
Host me at your Democratic club or young-voter group.
-
Organize and host a meet your candidate event.
-
Add me to your tenant or building forum.
-
Introduce me to your older-adult or senior group, faith community, or small-business group.
WHATEVER THE ROOM, I'LL COME READY TO LISTEN.
